BATTLE OF THE BANDS
Battle of the Bands, created by Writhing Snakes, is the first live-broadcasted music competition of its kind to hit the monster world. The record label has scoured the globe far and wide to unearth the stars of tomorrow from their graves and crypts, and you, lucky contestant, have passed initial tryouts and have been selected to compete in the show that ends all shows. Battle of the Bands will push contestants to their physical, mental, and musical breaking points with the promise that those who win will reach unprecedented notoriety and acclaim only dreamed of by most musicians. The grand prize? A permanent contract with Writhing Snakes, fame, glory, and riches. Never before have megastars been born overnight, but Writhing Snakes promises to be the springboard for launching a musical career that will withstand the tests of time to those with the drive, talent and passion to prove themselves. Just try not to die in one of the many perilous competitions; as much as the crowds love it, it's bad for business.
THE ROCK GODS

The top three most successful musicians at Writhing Snakes are an elite class of artists who call themselves the Rock Gods. They have spent their afterlives honing their music to near perfection and are considered leaders and pioneers of the entertainment industry. They have decided to take breaks from their own successful careers to devote themselves to Writhing Snakes' Battle of the Bands as it's notorious panel of judges. These judges will award points to musicians based on their own interests, strengths and talents.
CHALLENGES
Writhing Snakes will have a total of six challenges throughout it's runtime with each challenge taking place at a new location somewhere in the monster world. Each challenge comes with it's own colorful cast of NPCs that will play an integral part in a contestant's success in a challenge. Visual guides will be provided for contestants and characters so that they can freely explore each new location. Guest judges will also be introduced at every new location and are there to give a unique perspective on a given challenge.
In between challenges, the group plot will take a small two week break. During these breaks, casual mini events will be hosted. These aren't necessary for the overarching plot, but do provide extra opportunities for world exploration if characters wish to take advantage of them.
BAND SWAPPING
After every challenge, band members will swap places and be sorted in to new bands. This keeps things continuously challenging and allows for every contestant to get the opportunity to work together ( and against each other )
VIDEO UPDATES
Journal updates are a thing of the past! Writhing Snakes will make story updates via Visual Novel styled videos. Each challenge can have up to three video updates.
